What Works and What Doesn’t
Alternative Solutions are Often Ineffective
Having spoken to a large number of people who are affected by the condition, we have built up a significant list of treatments that simply do not work.
We’ve spoken to many people who are affected by this well-known conditions, we’ve created a list of treatments and solutions that we’ve found ineffective.
Including;
Willpower Training, Tablets, Hypnosis, a Wrist Device, Aromatherapy, Snore Rings and devices that have been created to counteract the sound that’s created by snoring. A similar product that claim to offer a similar service to SleepPro are sports gum-shields/mouthguards. These haven’t been found to prevent snoring as they don’t provide the appropriate support behind your teeth. They aren’t really comfortable to wear overnight as the gum shield focuses at the front of the mouth. Our MAD splints may look similar to a sporting mouthguard but they’re actually completely different devices for different purposes.
What does work?
According to both scientific studies and customer feedback, only three treatments have been proven to actually work for the majority of snorers.
According recent scientific study as well as the response from our clients, only 3 solutions have really been proven to work successfully.
The Mandibular Adancement Device; A mouthpiece that allows the user’s jaw to be moved forward slightly, this creates space between the airway and firms up the “soft palate”.
The Continuous Positive Air Pressure Mask and Air Pump (also known as CPAP) is also known to be effective. Users wear a face mask and air is pumped into their upper airway, providing immediate relief to those who snore heavily.The main drawback with this treatment is that it can only be prescribed by a doctor. It is also very expensive and a hassle to use.
Continuous Positive Air Pressure; Otherwise known as “MAD”, this is also known to be an effective method. This involves wearing a facial mask and having air blown through the upper air way. This has been proven to offer immediate relief to heavy snorers. There are sadly some problems with CPAP however, such as its usability and its cost, it can also only be prescribed by a doctor.
Surgery; Surgery has been proven to have positive results, it does however have some risks and the rate of success does vary as it depends on the cause of your snoring. Our SleepPro products are an effective, less invasive method of solving the problem so you should really give SleepPro a go before taking up drastic measures.
